Children’s Eye Specialists is a pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus practice located in Louisville, Kentucky. Our practice strives to provide a relaxed and loving environment in the care of children’s eyes. Our brand new office is conveniently located behind the Summit shopping center in the beautiful Olympia Park office condominiums. Our pediatric patients range in age from birth to adolescence and we see adults with eye muscle disorders as well.
We accept most insurance plans and work closely with pediatricians, family physicians, and schools to make patients’ visits as pleasant as possible. Our friendly staff will answer all your questions both personally and professionally.
Farah S. Ikram M.D.
Dr. Farah Ikram has been in private practice since 2000. She graduated with valedictorian honors in both high school and college, and finished at the top of her class in medical school. She received her residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Louisville where she also served as the Chief Resident. She then completed an additional year of fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus.
Dr. Ikram is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Her professional and surgical skills include Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, comprehensive general Ophthalmology including surgery of the Anterior Segment, Glaucoma, Eyelids and Lacrimal System, Vitrectomy, Laser Surgery and Ocular Trauma. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Kentucky Medical Association, the Louisville Academy of Ophthalmology and the Greater Louisville Medical Society.
